FIVE HEALTHY HABITS FOR SPRING
Spring is a great time to pivot and make small adjustments to your overall health. Try to incorporate one or more of these tips from the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) into your daily routine:
Move More, Sit Less
Get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity every week, plus muscle-strengthening activities at least 2 days a week.
Eat a Healthy Diet
Make healthy food choices like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, and low-fat dairy products.
Rethink Your Drink
Drink more water instead of sugary or alcoholic drinks. This will not only reduce your calorie consumption, but will also be more beneficial for your teeth.
Get Enough Sleep
Adults need at least 7 hours of sleep at night, children ages 6-12 need 9-12 hours of sleep, and teens ages 13-18 need 8-10hours of sleep a night.
Get Your Checkups
Visiting your doctor(s) regularly for preventive care is an important part of staying healthy. Annual check-ups and screenings can lead to an early diagnosis, which typically means effective treatment.
Making small changes now can make a big difference in your overall health.
